Do not look down on anyone( PART 1)
2 Kings Chapter 5 is an account of a powerful warrior, the commander of army of Aram. He had won many battles to the extent that the king of Aram had a great admiration for this man called Naaman.
Unfortunately, he suffered from leprosy( a contagious skin disease).
In all of this, there was a maid servant in Naaman's house who suggested to his wife to take him to a prophet in Samaria that he will be healed.
My point is not the success story of this man or the admiration he won from his master but the kind of relationship that exist between Mrs Naaman and this maid servant that could actually gave her the boldness, free hands and courage to speak with her Mistress.
This advice from one useless, poor, dirty, stinky, irrelevant and ordinary maid servant was what brought healing to Naaman's stigma.
Imagine the Mistress is harsh, always raising her shoulders up as if the whole world belongs to her, making statements such as: " Do you know who I am? I'm Mrs Naaman. My husband is the commander of army of king Aram and he had won many battles by bringing great victories to Aram," do you think the servant will ever be able to talk to her? Your guess is as good as mine. It's obviously a NO!
If no relationship exist between them, this girl will not suggest the solution Naaman needed to his wife. Who could have known that the healing channel of the Mighty man like Naaman is in the hands of a mere Maid servant? Who could have ever thought or imagine that?
Could it also be that my key to an opportunity is in the hands of one boy I had maltreated or a friend I am keeping malice with or an elder I had vouch not to greet again in my life?
No one is too irrelevant to be a channel of blessing to you. It is high time we stopped looking down on people because we are a step ahead of them or they are too young to advise us or talk to us.
What we really need to move from better to best may be in the hand of that one person that doesn't look like it.
I ACCORD HONOUR, RESPECT AND REGARD TO EVERYONE AROUND ME. I TREAT ALL MEN RIGHT IRRESPECTIVE OF THEIR AGE AND CLASS DIFFERENCES.
